Progress?

Is it a bad sign that I started off the first workout session I have done in months with handfuls of apple jacks imitation cereal?

Is it worse that I ended it with more handfuls of apple jacks imitation cereal?

Not the response I was hoping for.

You guys are failing to see the upside here. I actually worked out, sweat and felt pain!

More indulgence

After binging on chewy chips ahoy and Cheetos, my body decided (a few days later) that my depression and all out feelings of misery couldn’t be contained/eradicated by large servings of chocolatey and cheesy snacks. Apparently, it needed more diverse categories of junk and me being the spineless pile of much that misery can turn you into – I obliged and within the past 4 days indulged in the following:

A large bag of peach rings

A large bag of Chippies Banana Chips

Banana Chips

Large Rice Krispies Treats

Rice Krispies Treats

Chocolate Rice Krispies Treats

I think I’m done with the junk food (I say that now). I’m gonna try to stop cramming junk food down my throat and if I can’t I’ll just try not to blog about it.

How can this be!!!!

I must be reading this wrong, but one serving of Chewy Chips Ahoy is two cookies! Two cookies!! All the chocolate, chips ahoy loving people in the world (and possibly those with weight loss expectations and plans) have just let out a collective gasp–or was that just me?

How could they do such a thing. How could they tease me with their bright red packaging, their moist, ooey-gooey descriptions, sucker me into having an entire bag in my possession and expect me to eat JUST TWO COOKIES!!!!!!! It’s preposterous, impossible and an outrage.

I bought it on Thursday night….all done by Saturday morning. I feel ashamed, my thighs are giving me “those” looks  – “don’t judge me”!! Gotta say though, they really do “go fast” and they are delicious. Next stop…

Cheetos Twisted Puffs

UPDATE: I totally binged out on the Cheetos – one day later and it’s all gone. As it turns out (and I already knew this), I should never purchase any snack in large sizes because once that bag/box is opened my body just doesn’t believe any should be left over.

Something’s gotta give and it better be my waistline

So I’ve been fat since I was about 5 or 6 years old – don’t ask me how; and during college I put on quite a bit of weight. During the 3 years since, however, I’ve lost quite a bit. But a couple of months ago I began to feel extremely uncomfortable in my own skin. It seemed I put on about 8 pounds which felt like the world because I guess the 8 pounds just spread out and I had some more inches on me.

In any case I decided I was gonna work that weight off. I needed to reach my goal weight and lose 50 pounds. 50 pounds – that’s a lot!!! Soooo I started my new weight loss regime and have been exercising about 3-4 days per week; I even curbed my appetite and I gotta say -I am feeling sooo good.

It’s been two weeks and my clothes have been fitting a little better, so hopefully I can stick with it. Gooooo Meeee!

Are you pregnant or did you gain weight?

Can you believe someone asked me that today?!?! Me!

Sure I put on some pounds since she last saw me, but really – that was quite unnecessary. It sorta made me feel to exercise till every last pound of fat just disintegrated into sweat… but I was really craving cholcolate so i didnt bother.

Don’t worry, I had some ‘Fitness’ cereal instead.

Update: How to lose 10 pounds is 7 days

So, its done. I went on my binge diet and though I may have relapsed a wee bit I have to say I am proud of myself.

As it turns out I lost 5 pounds and had fun doing it. Funny eating a large bowl of salad everyday for the week was not as bad as some might think… then again I like salad.

I havent exercised since then because i have been totally exhausted but I have been curbing my eating habits and hopefully I will reach my healthy weight goal in no time.

How to lose 10 pounds in 7 days

Whoo, its been a while. My computer crashed. I need a new one. That might take a while. Moving on…

I just came off of my vacation and yes I did eat up a storm. Needless to say, I put on some weight and my clothes are extremely uncomfortable. You try going to work with you blouse sleeve threatening your arm with amputation via blood flow restrictions. Not pretty. Plus I have a wedding to attend in exactly one week. The dress i plan to wear, fit me quite well …when i was ten pounds lighter and could fit me better if i was 15-20 pounds lighter. But, as it turns out i need to lose 10 pounds in 7 days.

Not healthy i know, but I’m desperate. I also need to lose at least 50 pounds in total to reach my ideal body weight. I figure fruits, liquids, fresh vegetables, protein shakes, whole grain “Fitness” cereal and two daily exercise routines ought to do it. After the wedding, I’ll taper it off and add some meat and cooked vegetables (if i don’t cave during the week) in order to lose my remaining pounds.

I actually lost 50 lbs about a year ago… but that was when I was bored, unemployed and at home every single day. This time, definitely more of a challenge.

If i get through this week, I’ll be very proud if only because it means I have some discipline considering I’m the type of person to give into my cravings and eat everything in sight.

Weight Loss Wanderings

So I just stumbled blindly into the world of weight loss social networks and got out just as quickly. I’m sure it worked for quite a few people but the amount of information I would have to enter on a daily basis is probably more than I’ve written on this entire blog. I don’t need that kind of pressure…or maybe I do.

Fact is I’ve actually lost approximately 50 lbs already and I want to lose 50 more. The problem is my life has changed a bit since then. Unlike before when I was unemployed and had food options, now my life is so much more hectic and eating healthier is much more expensive.

I like to exercise, drink lots of water and i love my big green leafy vegetables but as of late it’s so hard to exercise and I’m having mad cravings like a pregnant woman.

Any suggestions guys??
